So let's delve straight into talking to you about my experience over the two events, I am so excited and I can't wait to see what adventures I'll come across in the author world!

Book Launch: Friday 16th November 2018

I can't believe I'm actually saying the word: I had a book launch! It was such an experience for me. So much effort and time goes into these events and I appreciate it greatly. My first ever book launch went woonderfully.

This is was the signing section and I have to say I had a wonderful time and it was amazing and nice to meet many people.
This is where I did my reading, there were quite a lot of people who were listening and the response was wonderful! I was pleasantly surprised that it went so great and happy that I did it. All the decorations where done by the person who helped me with this event and I can't thank her enough! The fantasy-esque really comes out and I'm proud of it too. I helped where I could, but with my health condition I only helped a little.

As you can see I'm signing a book! I can't believe I'm actually signing a book. I still surprised that I have support from many people who are happy for my success.

The event overall went great, we expected there to be children with their parents, however, I was shocked to see no children but adults! This is something that I really loved and appreciate a lot. I wanted to make it as encouraging as possible. I especially wanted to inspire and motivate those who are unwell like me and to know that with the right support they can also achieve what they want. It's just a matter of asking for help. In the event, I also did my reading so the people can get an idea of what the book is like which I was nervous doing just beforehand but once I started reading I was fine.

There was many people who asked me questions afterwards which also felt very engaging and I was happy to answer any questions. Lots of interests and it was nice to be of help too.

Reading at the Write Idea Festival: Saturday 17th November 2018:

Rolling on from that I went over to the Idea Store, which is a library, on Saturday and participated in a reading of my book! Before telling you about how this event went I want to just give some information about the WriteIdea Festival.

The WriteIdea Festival is an annul event that runs for 3 days in total and happens at one of the branch's of the Idea Store. In brief, it's a place the local community can participate in a writing competition, these writer's will have to be non-published authors/individuals to enter. There is also many authors throughout the 3 day event that come in a do talks either about their books and in general about writing and being an author. There are a few types of competition including ESOL (English as a Second Language) learners, beginners, and a more higher level etc. to find out more please go here: The WriteIdea Festival

My experience being able to read for a small segment made me happy. The audiences reaction was great and the story excerpt was well recieved! I am happy about it, there were a few who asked me questions and I loved the interest.

I even met an author at the event who helped me out and gave me some tips and advice about it which was wonderful! I connected with this author and it was a great way to me others like me.

Overall the event was a great success, and I have been highly motivated in writing more!

What's Next?

These two events have motivated me on writing another story which I chose from a list of story ideas that I have. I already have Two of a Kind, however I wanted to write this story because it was an idea that I felt I could make happen. All I can say is that I am working on another fictional story and I hope that you look forward to it.
